Reunion 2001

'Old Girls' ranging from the ages 16 - 80, attended
and enjoyed a hot supper and the Association's own
labelled wine! Although the reunion will never be held
on the St.Hilary's site again, the occasion was filled
with great optimism for the future.

Our President, Mrs Judith Straw, who taught for 31 years
at St.Hilary's and also became Deputy Head,
was presented with a magnificent garden seat
arrangement, complete with parasol and cushions.

On Saturday 17th March, a further 60 'Old Girls' were treated to a morning of further memories. Matthew Hyde gave us a wonderful slide talk on 'How Manchester Made Them' - an overview of the people who came to Alderley in the 1840's when the railway was brought to the village. Clare Pye then led us through 'Seven Decades of St Hilary's' and managed to prompt us all into reliving our fantastic memories.
